The red area represents the area where the Gascon dialect (or language) is spoken within the black outlined area in which the southern Langue D'Oc (vs Langue D'Oil) dialects of French (or languages) are spoken. The black outlined area is also sometimes less accurately called the Provencal dialect area. But modern Provencal is strictly the dialect of Provence, a smaller area. 71.125.144.239 04:25, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
