Misleading for Somaliland[edit]

Somaliland's olive green designation is misleading. It should be gray as before: it follows the copyright law of Somalia (see COM:FOP Somaliland and COM:FOP Somalia for more details). JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 05:08, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

public interiors[edit]

What does “ public interiors “ mean in light green? CubanoBoi (talk) 00:19, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Many countries have freedom of panorama for what you can see from public outdoor places. In some, you don't restrict that to the outdoors. What indoor spaces count as public probably varies, but I assume part of public buildings where you don't have to have any permit to enter would count, again by some definition of "public building". –LPfi (talk) 12:54, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
To actually know what is included, you would probably have to study jurisprudence of the jurisdiction in question, hopefully summarised on the country page. –LPfi (talk) 12:57, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

New updates from Jan 2023[edit]

@Ox1997cow and Bes-ART: (whoever edits the map first), can you please update Eswatini to red (per their very first copyright law in 2018, since independence from British, not inheriting FOP from British colonial law), Taiwan to yellow (as per latest TIPO opinion endorsing the strictest interpretation), and Mexico to grass green (similar to the Netherlands, because it is apparent not all public indoors are covered, COM:FOP Mexico seems to exclude church interiors). Thanks. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 02:46, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, Myanmar should be red now, as you mentioned to me elsewhere. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 08:32, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Austria[edit]

"OK including public interiors" is not correct, see COM:FOP Austria. This should be just "OK". There is an exception "for works, which themselves are components of the structure, including windows in churches and such", but I don't think that can be shown in the map. --Rosenzweig τ 20:21, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Falkland Islands[edit]

Not ok according to the map, but Ok per COM:CRT/Falkland Islands. Can anyone fix? Юрий Д.К 10:29, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Юрий Д.К. also, Guernsey and Jersey FoP allow public interiors. See COM:FOP Guernsey and COM:FOP Jersey. Ping @Bes-ART, Ox1997cow, and Chubit: for corrections. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 05:44, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
