Does anyone know where this hunt took place? I have the opportunity about once a year to stay at what was the Twilight Lodge on Clay Lake just north of Vermillion Bay, ONT. It was and old portage lodge and later purchased (1920's?) by some folks in Chicago who would entertain some bigwigs there. There is a story that Fred Bear stayed there and got a bear and a deer in the same day. It is now privately owned and has the original cook shack, stable and small shed still there. Any info is appreciated on this little slice 'o paradise. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.191.195.146 (talk) 16:01, 1 November 2017 (UTC)--209.191.195.146 16:09, 1 November 2017 (UTC)Soop[reply]

Received this from the property owner 11-2-17: Well, I think someone has an answer, but Fred may have taken it to his grave. Dick and Mike L** claimed to have seen an article by Fred Bear....."My Most Memorable Hunt", or something like that, and yes, it was at our place. But they also said they lost it and could not remember who published it. I went so far as to do a search at the Mpls. public library and came up with nothing. -Soop
