Licence[edit]

Regarding the copyright licence of this image, I agree that this is at least misleading. Not sure which tag should be used but here is my opinion:

  1. The shield was based on the coat of arms of Serbia. In general, the coat of arms is under public domain (several reasons: created in 1882 and based on a heraldic blazon) although a particular design may be copyrighted.
  2. I have no idea when this particular design was created but it seems extremely similar to others, for example this one of the times of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia [1] (of course, just consider the eagle, the crown and the firearms). I don't think someone can claim that this design of the CoA has ownership.
  3. The SVG file was released by the author under a CC-GFDL version. I think this licence is enough for the file... it is a reproduction of a PD domain, but not an exact one. I don't think a PD licence apply (whether Serbian, Bosnian or Yugoslavian). --B1mbo (talk) 00:20, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
