Thank you for posting this graphic. It definitely helped the discussion in Wikipedia:Floating wind turbine where you added this graphic, and the related graphics for tension-mounted anchoring structures.

I wonder if you would be willing to update the graphic for the loose mooring to better reflect the catenary curve shape in a catenary mooring, which is typical for floating wind turbines, as well as for anchor chains, and gives better mooring for a variety of marine engineering reasons.

 Done I just used a Bezier curve though:

• 
  mooring with cables in a catenary curve, Inkscape version
• 
  mooring with cables in a catenary curve, plain SVG version
