I don't know the proper license to use for this. But the original was completely non-descriptive. The current tag I put is more descriptive, but obsolete. Maybe the contributor could change the license to the appropriate one. 24.177.251.8 12:25, 14 March 2006 (UTC) (Previous unattributed edit, and the one of licenses, by Aaronwinborn 12:27, 14 March 2006 (UTC))[reply]

The horse on the coa is wrong, it should be galopping, it is not enough to turn it, see Image:Venezuela coat of arms.png Andreas1 17:52, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Correct flag with galopping horse is 300px Vints 06:53, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This one is accurate - actually moreso. ¦ Reisio 11:07, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ops my cache was old i think. Sorry. Vints 11:57, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the Revert[edit]

I reverted the flag image to the purportedly incorrect version because the messy half-raster, half-vector version has been here since December 2006, when User:Reisio committed to changing the coat of arms. Because this user is not currently active (and does not appear to become active again), the vector version should be left as is unless someone is willing to make the changes as requested and follow through on their words. Both horses in both Image:Venezuela coat of arms.png and the current version of this flag appear to be galloping, albeit drawn differently. Many sites (and sometimes real-life flags) may have slightly or even radically different interpretations of a flag. If anything, the major issue may be the ground below the horse as it stands out. This, though, should be fairly simple for someone used to vector image-editing.

In the end, if anyone is planning to make a change to the flag, please do not revert images to lower-quality versions. This may be the reason for the recent reverts of Venezuelan SVG coats of arms to the PNG version by anonymous users without any editing remarks on the English Wikipedia. If you are planning to redraw or modify the coat of arms, create the new version first, then implement it. It is not only extra hassle to replace SVG images with PNG images and back again, but it also gets in the way of editors who may not be familiar with your project and may replace the PNGs with SVGs again without knowing why the original change was made in the first place.

Verbose? Yes. I've hopefully made my point here and I hope that whoever is actively looking after images such as this manages to resolve this issue in a peaceful, efficient manner.

Wrong Coat of Arms[edit]

Is no't the right Coat of Arms of Venezuela, the words must be golden and another details so as the cornucopias are wrong too --Ilianovich1986 (talk) 02:19, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed the text, as you are right the law has golden text. Is there an official model of the arms we can look at so we can improve? User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 09:50, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Zscout370, thanks for the changes, but still is wrong

  • The spikes must be 24, this coat of arms has 22.
  • Doesn't have the arch and arrow
  • Doesn't have the machete.
  • The two flags don't have the stars.
  • It should not have two swords or sabers.
  • The style of the cornucopias and anothers details belong to the ancient Coat of Arms.
