Ratio[edit]

According to this official gazette from July 2013 (Art. 5):

Bandera. La bandera estará compuesta por tres fajas horizontales, de medidas idénticas. La proporción geométrica de su diseño y confección deberá mantener una relación lo más aproximada posible a 1:0.55 entre el lado mayor y el lado menor del rectángulo.

My translation (okay, Google Translate's actually):

The flag. The flag shall consist of three horizontal stripes of equal sizes. The geometric proportion between the long and the short sides of the rectangle should be as precisely as possible 1:0.55.

So, is the aspect ratio of the Paraguayan flag now officially 11:20? Is there a source for the 3:5 ratio this file currently has? SiBr4 (talk) 09:56, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I know it is two years later, but http://docs.paraguay.justia.com/nacionales/decretos/decreto-26506-apr-30-1957.doc gives the following: "El Pabellón Nacional se debe ajustar a las siguientes medidas: cinco (5) metros de largo por dos metros setenta (2.70) centímetros de ancho, debiendo el ancho de cada una de las franjas horizontales ser noventa (90) centímetros de extensión." (1 x 0.54 by my math) so it is the same ratio in 2013 like it was in 1957. It was probably poor reporting in the past. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 01:43, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
