As per FOTW* I'm changing the colours to CMYK 100-0-70-40 for green and CMYK 0-100-80-5 for red. —Gabbe 09:52, 2 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've used Pantone 342C for green and Pantone 032C for red which were found from FOTW and converted them into RGB values in Photoshop. The reason why I think Pantone to RGB conversion is better to use in web design than CMYK colours is that CMYK shades are meant for printing and look brighter than they are supposed to when viewed on a monitor. The RGB conversions, which are originated from Pantone, are meant to be viewed through a monitor and therefore give better estimate about how the specific colour on fabric should look like on a monitor. I also found some photographs of the flag showing that the darker tones are at least to some extent being really used: [1], [2] (see the slideshow for Country and Politics). –Vzb83 16:46, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Decided to see how the generally accepted hex codes for Procion shades would turn out (green #00a65e, red #f35d32), turned out very different from what everyone had it as. I'll probably upload my version later if nobody objects within a couple days. This is probably one of the examples of Wikimedia setting the international standard beyond any sort of national law or treaty. BoroKrajišnik (talk) 17:06, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Colors[edit]

OK, I have made and uploaded an image with some colors, found on the German Bangladesh Embassy site, the "Flags Of The World" site and the svg that is currently on wikicommons.

Some colors for discussion

My personal estetic feeling is that one of the lower color sets is prettier than either of the upper sets.

Is there a better way to go about getting appropriate colors for flags?

With FOTW, they always tend to go with a color safe format. Our image came from the colors of the CIA image. I know there are specified color of the Bangladesh flag, but it is in a format that I am not familiar with. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 04:18, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
