Why is the time axis reversed on this graph? The temperature based on the data shown is DECREASING, not INCREASING which the graph appears to show. This seems odd.

Huh? Has the graph been changed since the last comment? It clearly shows that 0 years ago is at the right and a distinct downward trend. Never mind, I see in the history that it was reversed at one time. For public use it probably makes sense to run the graph in the direction the general public expects.

Change in rate of fluctuation at around 3MYA[edit]

The rate of temperature fluctuation appears to increase considerably beginning about 3 million years ago. Is this real or an artifact of the data (e.g. from better available time resolution for the more recent past)?--Wikimedes (talk) 03:45, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
