Clear cutting[edit]

While I know the clear cutting part comes from the description from the Flickr account, I have a difficult time believing that is what occurred. Given this is a NOAA photo, and the year is 1975, my hypothesis is this is largely Columbus Day Storm damage from 1962 given the large amount of dead trees on the ground (and that they are largely white). Usually if you clear cut you tend to take the trees with you. M.O. Stevens 21:32, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
