It is about facts attributable to a reliable, published source; if they do not agree with your idea of what is a fact then we can not use that "fact".... Right now English sources still threat Crimea as an integral part of Ukraine. Let's wait how reliable, published sources claim the status of Crimea is in a couple of months. To start changing maps now looks very CRYSTALBALL to me. Wikipedia's scope is not compatible to Wikimedia Commons'. Because we already have another map which reflects the state before Crimean declaration of independence, you should change the Wikipedia article to use that other map instead of questioning any aspect of this image on Commons. -- Sameboat - 同舟 (talk) 09:07, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

Because this image was originally the SVG version of the said PNG version, you may fork the older version by an alternative name. Or request renaming of this image and re-upload the older version by this file name. Crimea in lighter green

For the sake of NPOV, this map should be edited or another map created for use coloring the disputed region of Crimea in lighter green, per the examples used for China and Serbia. This isn't a matter of "international law" -- just reflecting reality. -71.193.139.56 05:59, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
