Hi! I would like to make a suggestion to slightly alter the top portion of the graph. Some doctoral programs (particularly those in the biological sciences) do not require a master's degree to be accepted into the problem. Many students go directly into a doctoral program after completing their undergraduate degree. I think this is important enough to make a change to the figure to reflect this possible pathway. I have encountered several people who are discouraged at the thought of pursuing a doctoral degree because of the daunting task of having to complete both a master's and a doctorate.
