Why is Algeria included in the first frame (1957) of this image? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oliversisson (talk • contribs) 19:28, 02 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Because in 1957 it was part of the European Economic Community (EEC). "The most notable territorial reductions of the EU, and its predecessors, were the exit of Algeria upon independence in 1962 and the exit of Greenland in 1985." In the gif you have Czechoslavakia splitting in 1992, but it split in 1993. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.172.10.89 (talk) 21:32, 8 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the info. The gif is based on File:EU12-1992-93 European Union map.svg. With the next update I'll try to fix the problem. --Kolja21 (talk) 13:21, 15 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Возможная ошибка[edit]

На самом деле Латвия вступила в ЕС в 2015 год! Поэтому это может быть ошибкой!!! — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 90.131.148.68 (talk) 22:13, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Seit dem Inkrafttreten der EU-Erweiterung am 1. Mai 2004 ist Lettland Mitglied der Europäischen Union und seit dem 1. Januar 2014 auch Teil der Eurozone" (de:Lettland). --Kolja21 (talk) 23:44, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Brexit[edit]

A frame needs to be added into this animation for 2020 that removes the United Kingdom from the EU in time for 31 January 2020, the day in which the UK will formally leave the EU as a member state. (MOTORAL1987 (talk) 16:55, 1 January 2020 (UTC))[reply]
