What is shown here as a Merkel cell isn't; Merkel cells are very much smaller and extremely hard to detect. The structure indicated is a pressure sensing organ, a Pacinian or Meissnerian corpuscule. Evanherk (talk) 12:16, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect labelling[edit]

The structure in this diagram labelled as a Merkel cell is in fact a Pacinian corpuscle. Is it possible for this to be corrected? Will (talk) 07:49, 23 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
