The coloration of this map is suboptimal[edit]

The color scheme of this map (and the related maps) is not optimal. It is much to dark. I especially find the purple dark shading of the sea problematic. The overall quality is really fine but the map could be much improved if the colors were lighter. --Furfur (talk) 11:26, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

False map[edit]

Much more important than the color of the Baltic Sea is the following problem:

In the Treaty of Melnosee (d:Q693964) of 1422, a coastal section 35 km wide [2] 20 km north of Memel was finally awarded to the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the state of the Teutonic Order was split into two parts. Here it appears that in the 35 kilometers the Teutonic Order simply had a particularly small continuous strip and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, as before 1422, had no access to the Baltic Sea. That's not true: there wasn't just a "narrow coastal strip" of the Teutonic Order north of Nemirseta, but none at all.
