The demonstrators belong to the Nepali Congress Party (thats their party flag). Their headband says something like "Pratigama.."

It would be extremly unlikely that the communist demonstrators belonged to the Maoists. It was either CPN(UML) or one of the minor legal factions. The hammer n sickle in white on red flag is used by all Nepalese left parties. --Soman 10:22, 27 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
