WRONG LICENSE?

If copyright belongs to Siemens, then the image can't be licensed as GFDL, unless Siemens has officially licensed the image as such. -Mardus 18:31, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

While that's not true as a matter of law, I agree that its doubtful the license is valid. Did Siemens agree to license this or transfer sufficient interest to a thrid party that then did so? Given buisness seems to like to keep control of their products, I can't imagine why they would do that. If permission was obtained, I bet it was simply permision to use- that way Siemens could still retract permission later as well as prevent critical works or undersirable uses. Unless they are cooler than I anticipate and would imagine- I see no reason they'd release this freely. I bet if someone used this on an anti-siemens domain they'd figure out pretty quickly if the license was valid, lol.--24.29.234.88 10:01, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
