Golden "Vase"[edit]

This is a very beautiful picture! The "Vase" on the front of the coronet should be golden not silver though. /Elzo 90 (talk) 10:50, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've seen it in silver, black (probably thick outlines) and gold in some depictions. I have opted to follow the colours Ströhl uses. Black is common in older depictions as this is the colour of the "Vases" on the real crowns stored in the Royal Treasury. I modern Swedish heraldry however, they are always depicted in gold, as in this picture from the Chapter of the Orders of His Majesty the King, and this from the State Herald. /Elzo 90 (talk) 23:04, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
