It should be noted that the photo is not the view FROM Castle Peak, but a view OF Castle Peak. The mountaintop is visible about 3/4 of the way to the right in the photo -- the cap of dark stone above the rocky hillside. The peak is directly to the left of the dead tree. The mountain is seen from the southeast -- which is similar to how most people will be familiar with the peak, since the southern profile of the mountain is visible from Interstate 80 as drivers pass Boreal and the Pacific Crest Trail trailhead. -Wikipedia:Baxil 208.106.67.81 09:51, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
