The picture was published in Hamilton and Sinclair's Thunderbolt: Scourge of the Ranges as a photograph of Frederick Ward. In the aftermath, descendants of another man came forward and proved that he was their own ancestor, not Frederick Ward. See website of Historian - Carol Baxter at https://www.thunderboltbushranger.com.au/thunderbolt-pictures.html If anything this image should be deleted from Wikipedia. However the image has been widely reproduced (incorrectly attributed as Captain Thunderbolt) and published both in historic books newspapers and on the web. Maybe it is a good idea to keep it on Wikipedia with a note that it is NOT Captain Thunderbolt.--IntoCaves (talk) 02:35, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
