EUA pending in Brazil[edit]

EUA is pending in Brazil as Sinovac-Butantan's candidate has applied for it in Anvisa (Brasil's FDA) as you can see here.--MuriloHDD (talk) 16:12, 7 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ambiguity[edit]

What does the grey mean? No authorisation either granted or in the pipeline, or no data?

A further issue is that the legend refers to EUA, which per the redirect target is a US-specific authorisation. Presumably the intended meaning is that an authorisation equivalent to EUA has been granted. However, are we sure that in all cases it means this, as opposed to (for instance) authorisation for treatment of a patient with a medical emergency? @MuriloHDD: can you give insight? Smjg (talk) 12:31, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Grey means no data known or found. I only add countries based on emergency permission to administered vaccines against COVID-19 (whoever created the map put "EUA" on its description).MuriloHDD (talk) 11:14, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Panama and Ecuador[edit]

Please update Panama and Ecuador, which have started their vaccination programs.

  • Ecuador: [5] (both links in Spanish)

Date of file in "Summary"[edit]

Currently the file's date is shown in the Summary as "8 December 2020". That is almost certainly incorrect. For example, it shows Australia as having approved vaccination, but approval there was only granted in mid-January 2021.

While it is OK to also record the original creation date, the date of last update must be recorded, because on the article pages where the image is used it currently shows only "Created: 8 December 2020", which will be interpreted as the date that the viewed image was made. The file's history shows daily updates.

Miscoloring[edit]

Since Bolivia, Indonesia and Algeria had started vaccinations why they didn't change their color to green ? User:Apvbulg.

Japan[edit]

Japan approved the Pfizer vaccine check here (source: Asia."Japan approves Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine, 1st for domestic use") User: Apvubulg. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Apvbulg (talk • contribs) 15:48, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

—DIV (1.129.106.196 07:50, 29 January 2021 (UTC))[reply]

EMA approvals are not for general use[edit]

The EU colours are incorrect, as the EMA only gave 'conditional marketing authorisation' to the three vaccines currently in general use in the EU: https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/news/ema-recommends-first-covid-19-vaccine-authorisation-eu https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/news/ema-recommends-covid-19-vaccine-moderna-authorisation-eu https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/news/ema-recommends-covid-19-vaccine-astrazeneca-authorisation-eu

The colours on the map gives the impression that the EMA has approved the vaccines for general use, and they won't need a further final approval. --Svippong (talk) 16:22, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
