Map layers used[edit]

The USGS summary page for the 2013 Bushehr earthquake [1] has a map with an identical background, which is identified as "USGS topography". Unfortunately the url that I used is no longer valid (it targets a new earthquake map page) and I can't find the original image. Mikenorton (talk) 23:12, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good enough, the map linked to above is clearly where the image originally came from, and I see that the layer is credited to USGS Topography. And after having a closer look at the national geographic layer I realized that isn't it. So I now believe this is USGS-PD and retract my nomination. Thanks - it's a shame that the USGS don't use PD maps throughout. Mikenorton (talk) 23:09, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
