Raštikis, Stasys[edit]

I don't think this depicts Raštikis as he is shown in other photos to be (a) short and (b) bold. The man in the photo is turned away so it is difficult to clearly identify him, but he is definitely on the tall side. Renata3 (talk) 03:56, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Renata3, I think there is a big misunderstanding here, but you’re actually not alone, because in the German Wikipedia article for him I read the same. Stasys Raštikis is in my opinion the small and bald (sic!) man very central above the group of three in foreground. The file description says he is speaking with Joachim von Ribbentrop, and this must be the one in centre of this photograph, cf. images in his cat Joachim von Ribbentrop. I think the additonal description should make this clearer, but let’s wait for a reaction of Bundesarchiv staff to you error report. — Speravir – 19:27, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Speravir! That actually makes perfect sense and I agree with your interpretation. I added the file notations, but I am equally confused as to who is at the front of the photo? Could you add further notations, or fix if I identified people wrong. Thank you again! Renata3 (talk) 19:46, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I’ve added an image annotation for Hans von Tschammer und Osten, but do not know any other person, though there are some who I believe I’ve seen images before. I asked for help in German de:Wikipedia:Auskunft (kind of informal information desk). — Speravir – 22:10, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think, it is now more clear after the latest changes. — Speravir – 02:45, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
