Inaccurate description?[edit]

A user from es.wikipedia has claimed this image is not depicting Trieste (Italy) but Palma de Mallorca (Spain). To be honest, they may have a point. The castle in the background may be the Bellver Castle. The alleged source (dorotheum.com) does not allow to verify this. I may add (this is a personal long shot) the signature (bottom right) may belong to Spanish painter Ramón Padró y Pedret (an example: it's pretty similar). There's an earlier listing of the painting on the same auction site this file comes from ([1]) that confirms that it's indeed Palma de Mallorca: [2]. --El Grafo (talk) 10:30, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Port of Palma de Mallorca in 1921: File:Boletin de pescas (1921) (20379351572).jpg. Same view, same port, same light house, same castle, same mountains. I guess that seals it … --El Grafo (talk) 11:48, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright status[edit]

When I made this edit I accidentally hit Enter before my edit summary was done, do just for the record: I changed the license template to Template:PD-old-assumed-expired, because with a (partial) signature present, the author may be unknown or pseudonymouns, but certainly not anonymouns. -- El Grafo (talk) 12:12, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
