Is this image too big?[edit]

I don't think it is too big. The original artwork is measuring about 2 meters in width.
Of course, if you intend to watch this image on a mobile phone, it will be too big.
If you also intend to watch over a PC, it will also be too big. After all, the monitors can only display 75 dpi.
Now if you intend to check for details and alterationg made by the time, the current resolution might be useful.
If we are going against wasted space, we first will need to remove deleted images from the HDD of the servers...

HD space of the servers is not a concern. If at all the upload of a downsampled version is a waste of resources. The original is perfectly fine. --Dschwen 19:32, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well the original uploaded has a wrong aspect ratio.
I can correct it (I still have the tiff image), but I'll correct it by keeping the vertical unchanged, that would make a 7037 by 6451 pixels image. Shall I upload this version, and consider it as final? Esby 18:30, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aspect Ratio[edit]

I thought the AR was 4/3 but I was wrong: Two sides of the statue are indeed in 4/3, but those are the East and West sides. (140 centimeters per 110 centimeters) The other sides are 12/11 in AR. (120 centimeters per 110 centimeters.) Esby 17:49, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
