Subject: Artie Lange image
Hello, I am one of the editors at Wikipedia and I was wondering if I could possibly use your image of Artie Lange (http://flickr.com/photos/dearsomeone/256857219/) for the online free encyclopedia. If you give me permission, I would upload the image for use on the page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artie_Lange and give you the credit and include a link back to your Flickr page. We can only use your image if you are willing to grant permission for it to fall under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Text_of_the_GFDL), the Creative Commons Attribution (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/), or the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike License (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/). It would be your choice of how you want your image covered, so if you do want to allow the use of the image, take a look at the three licenses. The pages state that anyone will have the right to share and, where appropriate, to update your image, while giving you credit. Additionally, the articles state that other people might crop the image further, but you would still have your name and Flickr account as the author of the image. (I would need to crop the image to just include Artie Lange.) For example, it would look something like en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Samuel_L._Jackson_%282006_Pebble_Beach%29.jpg Let me know if the image can be used for the free encyclopedia whenever it is convenient for you. If you do choose so, please reply back saying "I agree to release the image "me & artie lange." under the terms of the GFDL license/Creative Commons Attribution/Creative Commons Attribution Sharealike" (whichever one you want to pick). If you have any questions, message me back and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks!
