Wrong crossbar angle

May I kindly advise you of the correct crossbar-angle of a prohibitory sign? Dipping (-45°) would be correct, increasing, (+45°) as chosen in your Anti-PPP logo is wrong. Have a look at Verbotszeichen for better understanding. --87.163.89.41 10:19, 6 June 2014 (UTC)

Thank you. I know that Verbotszeichen anywhere in the world use the crossing with -45°, if there is only one cross-stroke. For the Anti-PPP I used nevertheless the +45° because most of the tower would have been concealed by the -45° stroke. Whe you look e.g. at SVG Anti logos you may see that most logos are -45°, but a large part of them is +45°, or crosswise. If there will rise any need I can draw another version which avoids the +45° angle; at the moment I cannot see there any advantage. sarang♥사랑 12:49, 6 June 2014 (UTC)

The advantage would be to change a wrong sign into a correct one. But as you're the creator the preference is up to you - and you're in good company: Even Deutsche Bahn does it wrong with their no-smoking-stickers. BTW, the idea behind is: Reading a dropping crossbar from left to right implies a negation - contrary to an ascending one, which conveys a more positive impression. --87.163.90.235 14:51, 6 June 2014 (UTC)

All the "End of …"-signs prefer the wrong variation, (, , , , ...) just to mention a few ones.

When I look at Außerorts.svg:  the Anti-PPP logo.svg logo can feel in good companionship; you may see it as "end of parish pump politics" to justify the bar in the wrong direction. BTW, in 2012 I changed the bar direction in from evil to good. But depending the PPP, let us 'let the church in the village'! You're mistaken again: The examples (, , and signal the end of a zone with restrictions, conveying sort of positive impression. Therefore the correct angle ist +45°. Just as I tried to explain 24 hours ago.

Forgive me when I do not support the discussion to expand on signs with rectangular outlines (which obviously follow different rules), as long as I see comprehension barriers with the (easier) circular ones. However you should think about your attitude in regard to some WP-collaboration-basics: To bring in some knowledge with graphic tools is fine, and to take advices from experienced others would be also. Also falsch liegt Sarang mit seinen Argumenten nicht. Wenn du dir nur die Rosinen rauspickst, die deine Argumention scheinbar unterstützen, solltest du auch die erwähnten Regeln für Rechteckschilder bequellen und die Zeichen wie 325.2 erläutern. Du berufst dich auch deine Erfahrung, die ich leider hier nicht überprüfen kann. Dein grafische Oeuvre besteht hier aus "NULL" Dateien und deine editorische Arbeit aus zwei durchaus verzichtbaren Beiträgen, die du mit ein bisschen Nachdenken als Fragestellung auch selbst hättest beantworten können. Wesentliches an der Argumentation von 87.163.87.118 ist völlig richtig, und die Richtung dieses Striches ist durchaus signifikant. Wie bereits oben bemerkt, habe ich schon vor 2 Jahren eine frühere Sünde von mir ausgebessert. Und ich werde ggf darauf achten wie ich diesen Strich ziehe. Allerdings ist dieses kleine Logo, das ich so - mit +45° - aus einem Flyer kopiert habe, viel zu unbedeutend, um darüber lange zu quasseln, und ausgerechnet hier das (durchaus richtige und löbliche) Prinzip zu vertreten. Für mich betrachte ich die Sache als erledigt; wer will, kann gerne ein besseres PPP zeichnen (obwohl wir eigentlich schon dieses gar nicht brauchen...), meinetwegen sogar die Datei überschreiben (solange es nicht mit Inkscape gezeichnet wird und 6 KB gross wird). sarang♥사랑 17:38, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
