I'm not sure how to draw attention to this, I hope someone will notice. It looks to me like this photo has been digitally altered to the point where it might be considered a fake.

Compare it with this photo: https://imgur.com/gallery/3kuXF (Can be found in many places online.) McAuliffe and Kinnard are in the exact same position, but there's a third person on the left. If you look at the background of the photo hosted here on Wikimedia Commons, you'll see that the background in the area where the third person is on the other image is extremely dodgy and looks like a poor Photoshop job to edit him out. More specifically, look at the background above the letter "A" in "BASTOGNE". There is a thin segment of a brick wall. To the left of that, the same segment of the wall is repeated copy & paste-style in a lighter color.

Removing a person from a photograph of historical documentary value is a very significant change, and it should be mentioned in the image description. Or, even better, the photo should be replaced with the original. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 188.142.228.150 (talk) 11:10, 3 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
