Date of the picture[edit]
Just wanted to point out that although this photograph is labeled as a "portrait taken in 1970" on the Allen Ginsberg "Article" tab, and as having been taken "by Elsa Dorfman in 1973" on the "image" tab, it looks as if it dates from 1976 or thereabouts - during Dylan's "Rolling Thunder" tour. Dylan's white facepaint (which he began to use after Scarlet Rivera, his violinist on that tour, started wearing it), grey flatbrim hat, Martin D series guitar and that particular leather jacket all point to the later date.
Of course, I could be wrong about that. Good shot, in any event.
