This image was credited to James Salmon. It probably merely came from the James Salmon collection. Salmon was a prolific photographer, of historic images. He died of cancer, at a relatively young age.
Salmon was also a collector of images.
Sometime after his death his wife sold 15,000 images from his collection to the Toronto Public Library. Some of those images were transferred to the Toronto archives.
I think his collection may not be clear as to which images he took himself, and which he collected from others. Archivists describe these images from the James Salmon collection.
He probably didn't take this image. So I changed the authorship to unknown. Geo Swan (talk) 03:41, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
