Lybia[edit]

I hope we can mark Lybia in Maroon soon--J intela (talk) 03:25, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Southern Sudan[edit]

Can we please remove Southern Sudan, since it is not Arab, neither culturally, nor linguistically, nor soon-to-be politically. Vavoom (talk) 20:35, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The general consensus on the protest talk page seems to be that tentative internal borders should not be on the map, and it should reflect current, rather than future, political status. For this reason, I've decided to make Western Sahara and Somalia all one region (and keep Sudan as it is). Gringer (talk) 22:49, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gaza Strip[edit]

Can someone add Gaza to the map? There's no indication that it's there. Bahrain is on the map, so a little sliver for the Gaza Strip should be possible. 65.95.14.96 02:51, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sovereignty disputes[edit]

I would say the point of showing sovereignty disputes/advanced secession movements is to show that a different authority is in command there and so any protests in those areas might be aimed at a different régime.

Therefore I would suggest that Somaliland & South Sudan are displayed as "sovereignty dispute/advanced secession movement" (or maybe another inclusive term) and that the colour showing type of protest be different in those areas accordingly.

Agreed, if we're gonna have Western Sahara on there, which is 30+ years old.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 14:01, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
