Northern used the designation "Touring Car" or "Road Touring Car" for this automobile, although the only available body was this rear entrance tonneau. Seems this was the article writer's opinion. This picture is puzzling, anyway. The New York Show was held then late in the year, and the 18 HP was a 1905 model. So, Northern showed a model that would soon be replaced by the 20 HP Type C, of very very similar construction, and more body styles. A Tonneau like this was not offered in the C series. Beside that, there are illustrations of side entrance touring cars as early as 1904 (15 HP).--Chief tin cloud (talk) 17:34, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
