Nederlands: Vlak naast de roeivereniging Njord was vroeger de Zwem- en Badinrichting Rijnzicht. De eerste zwemlessen, trainingen en wedstrijden van de Leidse Zwemclub vonden vanaf 1886 plaats in het open water van het Galgewater Illustratie gemaakt door Gerardus Johannes Bos voor het album De Stad Leiden : Album bevattende eenige afbeeldingen der voornaamste hoofdgebouwen en fraaiste gezigten in en nabij de stad Leiden. eerste Serie. Auteur: A Montagne; G J Bos; Uitgever: Leiden Couvée (1859).
