Description
Nederlands: De elektriciteitsmaatschappij wilde de historische houten bokpalen (palen waar de bovengrondse elektriciteitskabels vanouds aan hingen) van Zevenhoven slopen en vervangen door ondergrondse stroomkabels. Die kabels zijn er gekomen, maar de bokpalen zijn blijven staan. De beste exemplaren zijn behouden en in 2012 naar de overzijde van de straat verhuisd, de in slechte staat verkerende exemplaren zijn verwijderd. De stroomkabels hebben geen functie meer en dienen nog slechts om passanten te laten zien hoe ons elektriciteitsnetwerk er vroeger uitzag in het straatbeeld.
