Deutsch: Zeichen 226: Verkehrszeichen Kraftfahrlinien. Quelle: Bundesgesetzblatt, Jahrgang 1970, Nr. 108, S. 1587. Tag der Ausgabe: Bonn, 5. Dezember 1970. Das kreisrunde Ende des Zeichens hatte einen Durchmesser von 250 oder 350 mm, je nach Nutzung. Das Zeichen wird in all seinen Bemaßungen im Verkehrsblatt, Heft 24, 1976, Seite 766, beschrieben. Bei einem Kreismesser von 350 mm wies der 240 mm hohe Arm des Zeichens von der Fahrbahn weg. Bei einer Gesamthöhe des kreisrunden Endes von 350 mm war die Umrandung 10 mm stark. Der grüne Rand hatte eine Stärke von 40 mm. Das „H“ war 120 mm breit und 150 mm hoch. Das Zeichen hatte eine Gesamtlänge von 850 mm. Form und Maße einer zusätzlichen Beschriftung auf dem Arm waren freigestellt. Mit der 6. Verordnung zur Änderung der StVO vom 21. Juli 1983 wurde bestimmt, dass dieses Zeichen am 1. Januar 1994 seine Rechtswirksamkeit verliert. Ab 1983 erhielt das Zeichen die Bedeutung von Zeichen 224.
