Description: Scrapbook page contians one photograph of a wall decorated with bas-reliefs of the egyptian deitties: Horus, Osiris, Hathor or Isis, Isis, Ptolemy, Teth. As well as, projecting lions heads used to collect rainwater. The annotation included on this page recounts the gods and goddesses featured in the bas-reliefs in the photograph on this page.

Transcription: The projecting lions heads were to carry off the infrequent rain water, a precaution indicting presence of Greek Artisans.; Horus. Teth. Isis, Chemw. Horus Isis Osiris ; Hathoro the chief divinity here- She was the "pupil of the Sun's eye," the " goddess of the beautiful face and love," the personification of " Harmony of the world- She was the dicine Mother, who causes vegetation to germinate, corn to grow, gives live to mortals, carrie fecundity everywhere. Traces are found indicating that Greek philosophy has stolen in, for she is Goddess of Truth also. " May truth be with thee, mayst thou live by her-" All these decorations represent Hathor. Isis. Osiris. " The beautiful , the true and the good_ " Alphonse Marriette
