Summary[edit]
DescriptionYerkes Observatory Astro4p7 composite.jpg |
English: Albert Einstein and the staff of the Observatory in front of the 40-inch Refractor, Yerkes Observatory — Williams Bay, Wisconsin. E. E. Barnard is shown in the middle of the back row.
This is a composite of the two versions of File:Yerkes Observatory Astro4p7.jpg (the 450×356 image uploaded 2008-05-30 and the 2,021×1,248 image uploaded 2015-11-29) to combine their advantages: a wider field of view on three sides in the older one and a higher resolution and a wider field of view on one side in the newer one. The two versions apparently had the camera (and maybe the telescope) in slightly different positions, accounting for the broken lines at the border between them. As well, there is one more man standing at the right in the older version; he is not shown in this composite because the newer version was given full opacity in the region it covered. |
