| Description |
English: Yemassee, South Carolina's derelict Amtrak Station as seen from the railroad crossing of Old Salkehatchie Highway(Co Rd-S 25-13) just north of the intersection of Wall Street across the county line. The station house was built in the 1950's by a subsidiary of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, and was being demolished as this picture was taken. This shot actually shows both lines crossing the road, and the construction equipment used to demolish the station house. |
