Yardmaster Horan Blamed. Switchmen Say He Is the Cause of the Strike. The strike begun yesterday at Scranton among the switchmen of the D.L. & W. Railroad is said to have been precipitated by the action of General Yardmaster Horan in sending men from Hoboken to take the places of two switchmen who were in the employ of the company for over twenty years. The strikers say that Horan is antagonistic to the Switchmen's Union and that he is trying hard to disorganize it. The yardmaster left Hoboken last night to assume charge of affairs at Scranton, he declined to discuss the situation prior to his departure.
