Description
English: Cartoon by Ellis Owen Ellis published in the Welsh-language magazine Y Punch Cymraeg of April 1858 (p. 4), showing the Welsh clergyman, w:Richard Williams Morgan, who was campaigning for the use of Welsh in churches and schools in Wales, driving out three English bishops who could not speak Welsh. The three bishops (Short, Bethell and Ollivant) are tied on the back of a skeletal horse, being ridden by a skeleton; the mouth of Hell opens to receive them. The image includes the explanatory Welsh text.
