| Description |
English: Wrexham & Shropshire Railway train at Marylebone A new direct service running from Wrexham to London Marylebone. At first sight, this appears to be a 'super-powered' train with just three carriages and a 125 mph class 67 locomotive at each end. In practice, only the leading locomotive runs under power, the trailing one being added to avoid shunting movements at the terminal stations. Driving van trailers (non-powered vans with a driving cab at one end) are currently being prepared for the company and will replace one of the locomotives on each train set so as to allow full push-pull operation. |
