| Description |
English: 1943 portrait drawing by Wolfgang Willrich (1897-1948) of Walter Moese (Möse) (1920–1944), Feldwebel in Wehrmacht Heer, the army of Nazi Germany, and recipient of Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes (Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross) 1944. Between 1935 and the outbreak of World War II in September 1939 Willrich produced a massive amount of portraiture depicting ‘models of the German race’ that was appreciated by the Nazis. During the war Willrich made portraits of military people of Germany as Third Reich propaganda. Chiaroscuro drawing using white heightening on grey prepared paper. No known copyright restrictions. |
