Description
English:
Winter military campaign 1664 memorial (Installed in 2011). Here stand the Barcs Castle from the Turkish era. Count Miklós Zrínyi and General Julius Hohenlohe (German: Wolfgang Julius von Hohenlohe-Neuenstein) captured the castle during their winter campaign of 1663-64 The castle was a three rows plan walls castle with moat, inside were the guards accomodation buildings for circa 200 people and a small mosque More about: barcsibarangolo.hu/en/barcs-castle-from-the-turkish-era/ - Hősök Square South Park, Barcs, Somogy County, Hungary.

Téli hadjárat 1764 emlék. Iszkender szigetvári bég Barcson, a Dráva partján (Megj.: 2022-ben a Dráva az emlékműtől több mint egy kilométerre van!), 1567-ben palánkvárat emeltetett. A várat három cölöpsoros töltött palánkfal és vizesárok övezte, belsejében az őrség lakóházai, raktárak és egy kis mecset állt. 1595-ben elpusztult, de rövidesen újjáépítették a törökök. Gróf Zrínyi Miklós és Julius Hohenlohe generális hada 1663-64. évi téli hadjárata során a várat elfoglalta és elpusztíttatta, mely többé nem is épült újjá.
