| Description |
English: Oregon Dunes is an active dune field along coastal Oregon. Much of the area has been artificially vegetated compared with decades ago. The sand is mostly quartz, plus feldspar, hornblende, garnet, pyroxene, olivine, epidote, opaque minerals, and lithic grains.
Locality: Oregon Dunes, western side of Route 101, Florence, far-western Lane County, coastal Oregon, USA (44º 00’ 26.23” North latitude, 124º 06’ 17.15” West longitude) |
