Summary[edit]

Description
English: Winchelsea Beach, low tide. A sunken forest of petrified wood. Winchelsea Beach at low tide presents itself like any other rocky beach... until you realize the rocks are soft. Ancient forests were inundated by rising sea levels and trapped in fine silt about 5200 years ago. Around 6000 years ago, England had become an island. Further East beneath the cliffs, fossils of dinosaur footprints dated early Cretaceous (144 - 127 million years ago) can be found.
