Title
English: Wilsonian Apartment Hotel restaurant Seattle, circa 1923
Description
English:

The Wilsonian Apartment Hotel opened in Seattle's University District on November 26, 1923. Its developers promoted it as the most elegant apartment hotel outside of New York City. The Wilsonian had restaurant facilities, lounges, and an adjacent ballroom. In addition to extended-stay residents and short-term visitors, the mixed-use complex hosted annual art auctions and a variety of University of Washington student and faculty social and cultural events. The Wilsonian was designated a Seattle landmark in 2005. This Linkletter Studio image, possibly taken at the time of The Wilsonian's opening, shows a restaurant, possibly the Via Fontana, designed to look like a European village.
