Deutsch: Das Heliometer der Kuffner Sternwarte wurde 1893 geliefert und 1896 in Betrieb genommen. Gebaut wurde es von Repsold & Söhne (Hamburg), die Optik stammt von Steinheil & Söhne (München).
Zwischen 1899 und 1908 wurden mit diesem Heliometer 16 Fixsternparallaxen gemessen, was etwa einem Achtel aller weltweit gemessenen Parallaxen entspricht. [1]English: The Heliometer of the Kuffner Observatory in Vienna was delivered in 1893 and put into operation in 1896. It is built by Repsold & Söhne (Hamburg), optics by Steinheil & Söhne (Munich). This Heliometer is the largest in the world. 16 Stellar parallaxes were measured between 1899 and 1908, it was about an eighth of the world's measured parallaxes. |
