Description
English: The whaling steamer "Orion" was built in Norway in 1904, and arrived in its new home port of Victoria the following year. The vessel was designed to hunt and kill whales for processing at shore-based whaling stations. In 1908, the "Orion" and its sister ship, the "Saint Lawrence" killed over 600 whales.
