Description
Deutsch: Am Boden steht geschrieben (nach Otto Tausig) 
Und dann waren wir also am Westbahnhof. Ich war schon eingestiegen und schaute zum Fenster heraus. Eingezwängt zwischen den vielen Kindern, die von ihren Eltern Abschied nahmen. Wir alle hatten ein Pappendeckelschild um den Hals mit einer Nummer, damit man uns in England unseren Bestimmungsorten richtig zuteilen könnte. Die Eltern standen auf dem Perron und gaben noch letzte Ratschläge. Mein Vater,  Fürsorgerat und sozialdemokratischer Funktionär,  sagte, nur nie in die Politik einmischen. - Ja, Papa,  sagte ich, habe mich aber in späteren Jahren nicht daran gehalten. Dann fuhr der Zug ab. Als wir die deutsche Grenze überquert hatten und in Holland einführen, stimmte ich die "Marsellaise" an und alle Kinder, die das Lied kannten, sangen mit.
