Notes | Published in Germinal, Album de XX Estampes Originales, La Maison Moderne, Paris 1899. After van Gogh's death his brother Theo sold the original watercolor to a German connoisseur of avant-garde art, publisher and critic Julius Meier-Graefe. The publisher decided to publish the work in an album of avant-garde artists "Germinal". Emil Rudolf Weiss produced a colorful lithography. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
